The holiday season has started, so we're slowing down a bit. In July, we have added over 5,500 new indexes from 6 new books to Geneo search engine . This way, the number of indexed records has exceeded 400,000! We would like to thank all members and cooperating partners of the JZI who have contributed to such an incredible result! We have added further indexes from the following parishes: Bakałarzewo, Bargłów, Janówka, Jeleniewo and Rajgród. We would like to draw your attention to the completion of the indexation of the oldest book that has been preserved in the region. This is a book of baptisms from Janówka from 1602-1618, which we informed about in a separate entry. As usual, we are simultaneously supplementing and improving previously added indices. In July, we also started an interesting community project in which anyone can add deceased people linked to the Raczkiparish to Geneo. At the moment, there are about 150 entries of this kind available. They are marked in Geneo by the letter 'R' next to the act number. More information about the project can be found in this entry.
